Lesson 5 : SKILLS 1/ Reading and speaking

I. OBJECTIVES: * By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to gain the following items:

1. Knowledge:

- Read for specific information about how English people continue their culinary traditions.

- Talk about a typical traditional Vietnamese dish.

+ Integrated skills: Listening, speaking, reading, writing.

* Vocabulary:

- Use the words related to the topic “Remembering the past”;

- Pronounce the sounds /m/ and /l/ correctly in words and sentences;

* Grammar:

- Use the past continuous tense and wish + past simple;

- Know how to thank and respond;

2. Competence:

- Develop communication skills and creativity

- Develop presentation skill

- Be co-operative and supportive in pair work and teamwork.

Digital Competence (3.2.TC2a): AI Fact-Checking & Problem Solving. Students use AI to generate historical information about a traditional dish, then critically evaluate the output to solve the problem of "AI hallucinations" (AI fabricating fake historical facts).

Digital evidence/assessment: AI-generated short text, fact-check notes, corrected version and source/knowledge comparison; teacher checks whether students detect inaccurate AI information and revise it before speaking.
