I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- Read about electronic devices;
- Talk about an electronic device which is important to him/ her.
Pronunciation : Stress on all words in sentences
Vocabulary: Electronic devices
Grammar: suggest / advise / recommend + V-ing / a clause with should
2. Competences
- Develop communication skills and creativity;
- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and teamwork;
- Develop presentation skills.
Digital Competences (DC):
1.1.TC2a: Browse, search, and navigate digital educational content (reading digital leaflets on Hoclieu.vn).
2.1.TC2a: Interact through digital technologies (using a shared digital whiteboard).
4.1.TC2a: Protect devices and data (Understand safe viewing distances and volume control on digital devices).
5.1.TC2a: Solve technical problems logically (e.g., navigating to the correct digital exercise tab).
3. Personal qualities

Digital Tool: YouTube via Teacher PC / Hoclieu.vn. 1.1.TC2a (Processing digital video data). Task delivering: Teacher plays a video of a smartphone's commercial (e.g., Apple iPhone 15). Have Ss watch the video, then tell the teacher what information is included in the videos (What it can do, how convenient it is, the length of the battery, ...). Scaffolding Questions: Weak: "Look at the screen. What device are they advertising?" Average: "What cool things can this phone do in the video? Can it take photos underwater?" Strong: "How does the commercial make you feel? Does it make you want to buy the phone?" Task performance: Students follow the teacher's instruction and watch the video attentively. Teacher Intervention & DC Integration: Before playing, the T adjusts the volume and explains: "We must ensure the volume isn't too loud to protect our hearing, which is an important part of using digital media safely." (DC: 4.1.TC2a). Report & discussion: T asks students to shout out the features they saw. T lists them quickly on a blank Word document projected on the screen. Judgement: T links the commercial's features to the upcoming reading text about electronic leaflets. |

2. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION (13 mins) a. Objectives: - To activate Ss’ knowledge of the topic of the reading text; - To improve Ss’ skill of reading for details (scanning). b. Content: - Task 1: Work in pairs. Discuss the following questions. - Vocabulary teaching - Task 2: Read the following leaflets and match the highlighted words with their meanings. c. Expected outcomes: - Students identify some new words and how to use the target vocabulary. d. Organisation |

Digital Tool: Hoclieu.vn (Digital Whiteboard) or simple PowerPoint. 2.1.TC2a (Interacting via shared digital workspace). Task delivering: Ask Ss to work in pairs to discuss what electronic device they use most often and what they use it for. Scaffolding Questions: Weak: "Do you use a TV or a phone more often? What do you watch?" Average: "If you use a smartphone, do you use it for studying or just playing games?" Strong: "Can you describe a specific feature of the device you use most often?" Task performance: Students do the task in pairs and explain their answers. T invites a student up to the PC to act as a "Digital Secretary", typing tally marks next to device names (Phone, TV, Laptop) as the class calls them out. Report & discussion: Ask some Ss to say their answers in front of the class. T may ask some other questions about what feature they like most. Judgement: T praises the students' sharing and points out the most popular device in the class based on the digital tally. |
