I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge
- practise reading for specific information about a place in the past and now.
- practise talking about the changes of some objects over time.
- practise listening for specific information about entertainment for Vietnamese children in the past.
- practise writing correct sentences from clues.
- Key terms/ Vocabulary: Review
- Structure: past continuous; wish sentences; present prefect; verbs + to-inf and V-ing
2. Competences
- Develop communication skills and creativity.
- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work.

Teacher: "Hello everyone! Today we're going to start with a small interactive activity. I want you to think about the differences between life in the past and life in the present." Teacher: "Please access Mentimeter via the link or QR code on the screen. You will enter one or two keywords describing the differences you think of." (Teacher provides the Mentimeter link/QR code with a "Word Cloud" question type). (NL1(1.1.TC1a) - Information extraction and feedback through digital tools). Students: Access Mentimeter and enter keywords. Teacher: (After students have entered) "Great! We can see a 'word cloud' with many interesting ideas. The word that appears most often shows the difference that many of you have noticed." (Teacher analyzes the "word cloud"). Teacher: "Does anyone want to share more about the differences they've thought of? Why did you choose that word?" (Teacher calls on a few students to share). Students: Share their opinions. Teacher: "Very good! Your ideas will be the bridge to today's lesson – reviewing reading, speaking, listening, and writing skills on this topic." Teacher-Student Interaction: "Do you find using Mentimeter easier to share your opinions?" "What are your thoughts on how technology has changed our lives, thereby creating these differences?" Task 1: Read the passage and choose the correct answer A, B, C, or D. (9 mins) Teacher: "We're moving on to the Reading section. Please open your textbook to page [page number] and look at Task 1." Teacher: "To do Task 1, you will read the passage and then choose the correct answer A, B, C, or D for each question. You will complete this exercise on the hoclieu.vn that I have prepared." Teacher: "Please skim through the passage first to grasp the main idea. Then, read the questions and find specific information in the passage to answer them."
