I. OBJECTIVES: * By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to gain the following items:
1. Knowledge:
- Review the vocabulary and grammar of Unit 5
- Apply what they have learnt (vocabulary and grammar) into practice through a project.
+ Integrated skills: Listening, speaking, reading, writing.
* Vocabulary:
- Use the words related to experiences and adjectives describing experiences;
+ Apologise and respond;
+ Talk about a friend's experiences of a course;
* Grammar:
- To Form and use the present perfect tense.
2. Competence:
- Develop communication skills and creativity.
- Be co-operative and supportive in pair work and teamwork.
Digital Competence (1.2.TC2a; 5.2.TC2b): Data Retrieval & Digital Problem Solving.
· Data Retrieval & Evaluation (1.2.TC2a): Students use advanced Google Search filters to retrieve authentic travel reviews and data (e.g., TripAdvisor, travel blogs) to enrich their descriptions of memorable experiences.
· Digital Problem Solving (5.2.TC2b): Students design a digital survey (using Google Forms) to solve the problem of collecting data efficiently. They then use spreadsheet software (Google Sheets/Excel) to analyze the class's experience data and generate visual charts for their final presentation.
Digital evidence/assessment: final slide deck, Google Form link, Google Sheets chart, source/review note and group reflection; teacher assesses language accuracy, data interpretation, visual clarity and teamwork.

Objectives For students with disabilities
By the end of the lesson, students can:
- review and say 3 experience adjectives: amazing, embarrassing and unpleasant, with teacher's help.
- complete 2 vocabulary or present-perfect review items using cues.
- point to or read 1 chart showing class experience data.
- present 1 short sentence in the project, such as “My experience was memorable.”

+ Greeting + Teacher (T) asks Ss some questions about the previous lessons, - T may introduce some warm-up activities to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to inspire Ss to warm up to the subject and new class… - T encourages Ss to talk in English as much as possible + Ask Ss to list what they have learnt in the lesson. + Ask them to list the good and bad experiences they had at school. OR: Brainstorming - Teacher divides the board, and divides the class into 2 teams. - Members of each team take turns and write as many adjectives describing experiences as possible in 2 minutes. - The group having more correct answers is the winner. Lead in the new lesson. +Write the unit title on the board. Ask Ss to open their books and start the lesson.
For students with disabilities Teacher: - Gives 4 adjective cards: amazing, exciting, unpleasant and embarrassing. - Lets the student choose 2 words for review. Students: - Read or repeat 2 adjectives. - Say 1 adjective to describe an experience. |
