Lesson 6 : SKILLS 2/ Listening and writing

I. OBJECTIVES: * By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to gain the following items:

1. Knowledge:

+ To practice listening and writing.

- Listen for specific information about a community helper;

- Write a paragraph about a community helper.

+ Integrated skills: Listening, speaking, reading, writing.

* Vocabulary:

- Use the words related to the topic Local community;

* Grammar:

- Use question words before to-infinitives and some phrasal verbs;

2. Competence:

- Students will be able to practice listening , speaking, reading and writing skills .

- Develop communication skills and cultural awareness.

- Be cooperative and supportive in pair work and teamwork.

Digital Competence (3.1.TC2a; 3.2.TC2b): Digital Content Creation & Cloud Collaboration. Students draft a paragraph about a community helper on Padlet/Google Docs and give constructive online peer comments.

Digital evidence/assessment: one digital paragraph, at least one useful peer comment and one revised sentence; teacher checks content, language accuracy and polite digital communication.

3. Personal qualities:

- Be friendlier and willing to help the community;

- Actively participate in community services;

- Develop self-study skills.

Objectives For students with disabilities

By the end of the lesson, students can:

- recognize 2 words about a community helper from the listening, with teacher's help.

- listen and fill or choose 1-2 simple details about Mr Vinh.

- answer 2 simple questions about a community helper using prompts.

- copy 2-3 model sentences to write a short paragraph.
