UNIT 10: ECOTOURISM

Lesson 2: Language

I. OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, students are expected to achieve the following objectives:

1. Knowledge:

- Vocabulary: Use the lexical items related to the topic ecotourism

- Pronunciation: Identify intonation patterns and use appropriate intonation (i.e. rising or falling tone);

- Grammar: Use conditional sentences Type 1 and Type 2 correctly.

2. Competencies:

a. General competencies:

- Improve competencies: pairwork, critical thinking, interpersonal skill, problem-solving skill, self-study skill, creativeness and adaptability, collaboration

b. Specific competencies:

- Develop communication skills and awareness of tourism and their impact on the environment

- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and teamwork;

- Actively join in class activities.

3. Qualities:

- Develop a sense of being an ecotourist

- Be aware of tourism and their impact on the environment.

4. Digital Competences (Năng lực số):

· 1.1NC1a: Identify information needs; find data, information, and content in a digital environment (e.g., observing digital images of caves, accessing digital audio).

· 5.3NC1a: Use digital tools and technologies to create knowledge, innovate processes, and products (e.g., using online dictionaries or sachmem.vn to check vocabulary and pronunciation).
