I. OBJECTIVES: * By the end of this unit, students will be able to:

- Gain an overview about the topic Communication

- Use the prepositions of time and place, possessive pronouns

1. Knowledge:

+ Vocabulary: Damage (n,v); Funnel (n); Tornado (n); Eruption (n); Pull up; Landslide (n).

+ Language: Interrupting politely: Hold on; Sorry for interrupting, but…

+ Pronunciation: Stress in words ending in -ese and -ee

2. Competence:

a) General competencies:

- Develop communication skills and creativity.

- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and teamwork.

- Actively join in class activities.

b) Specific competencies:

- Group work and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence.

c) Digital Competence (Năng lực số):

3.1.TC2a: Digital Content Creation: Students contribute ideas to a co-created digital board (Padlet) via the teacher's laptop.

5.3.TC2a: Problem Solving: Students use digital contexts (simulated video calls, AI translation tools) to resolve communication breakdowns and overcome language barriers.

3. Qualities: - Love talking about communication technology. Have a positive attitude toward shopping places and dream shopping place. Ss have the good attitude to working in groups, individual work, pair work, cooperative learning.
