Lesson 1: GETTING STARTED

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to gain:

1. Knowledge: - An overview about the topic “Films”

- Lexical items related to the topic “Films”:

+ types of films;

+ adjectives describing films.

2. Competence:

a) General competencies:

- Ss are interested in practicing language function

- Ss are interested in doing exercises.

b) Specific competencies:

- Develop communication skills and cultural awareness.

- Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and teamwork

- Actively join in class activities.

c) Digital competences:

- NLS1 (1.1.TC1a): Students explore information about major festivals and films through reliable digital sources.

- NLS2 (2.2.TC1c): Students share information and images related to films via a learning platform.

- NLS3 (3.1.TC1a): Students illustrate ideas using images/videos with clear source citation.

- NLS1 & NLS3 (1.1.TC1a; 3.1.TC1a): Students evaluate the reliability of digital sources and refine learning products.
