By the time I realized my bicycle had broken down, I had already left the house and started walking towards school.

As I walked briskly, I remembered that my bicycle had malfunctioned, but it was too late to turn back.

When I reached the halfway point to school, I had already wasted a significant amount of time dealing with the broken bicycle.

By the time I arrived at school, I had exhausted myself from the long walk and felt frustrated for not being able to use my bicycle.

As I entered the classroom, I noticed that most of my classmates had already settled in, and I realized that if my bicycle hadn’t broken down, I would have been on time.
