I. OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson, students are expected to achieve the following objectives:

1. Knowledge:

*Vocabulary:

- Understand the key words: racket, goggles, competition, champion, marathon.

* Pronunciation:

- Pronounce the key words correctly: racket, goggles, competition, champion, marathon.

- Pronounce the sounds /e/ and /æ/correctly

* Grammar:

- use the Past Simple.

- use imperatives to tell someone to do something.

2. Competencies:

a) General competencies:

- Group work and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence.

b) Specific competencies:

- talk about what children should / shouldn't do at Tet;

- read for general and specific information about favourite sports stars.

c) Digital competencies:

NLS1 (1.1.TC1b) – Extracting information from images

NLS3 (1.1.TC3a)-Completing digital learning tasks.
